Family: Her grandfather runs the library. Her father left one day to go to the nearest town and never came back, and her mother died giving birth to her younger sister. The closest thing to a sibling that she has is her best friend Raven, who shares her room with her.

Appearance: Frizzy mousey brown hair in ponytail, 5.4 feet, Blue- gray eyes, thinks her nose is too big, pale skin with some freckles.

Clothing: She likes purple, pink, or green.

Personality: Sort of hyper and outgoing (if she likes you) and spends most of her time in the library reading. She isn’t quite sure what she wants out of life yet. She didn’t really know her mother. When she feels at home, she is very funny, but hates to be laughed at. While she doesn’t often start a conversation, she is very knowledgeable and could help you find out what you want to know. Emily LOVES telling people stuff, even if they don’t want to know it. This is the main reason that she doesn’t have many friends. She gets into lots of fights, even though she usually ends up losing. This is because if she feels very strongly about something she will not back down even if it means getting a black eye.

Strengths: Loves horses, good at archery, can sew a bit. She has a rudimentary grasp of fighting, as she has been getting beat up since she was very young because she presses her opinions onto other people.She is kind of good at drawing, though not extremely. Knows everything in the library. For example, she’s read Repelling Immortals, so she could tell you that for example, Stormwings hate onions.

Weakness: Doesn’t like people or advice. Also gets tired easily.

History: She moved to her grandfather’s house when her mother died. Her mother was rather poor compared to her grandfather. She went to school in one of Thayet’s schools. She has always loved hanging around the stables, and has a fairly good idea of how to ride a horse, although she has never tried it. She has never had a boyfriend. She became librarian at age 10 to help grandfather.

What she is ashamed of: Nothing really, although she hates being embarrassed. She hasn't really done enough things in her life to be ashamed of anything.

Uniqueness: She knows A LOT. She’s shy and outgoing at the same time. If someone taught her how to fight, she would probably be really good at it. She really admires the Shang Warriors, although she has never seen one.

Why she is at the inn: She wants to learn how to fight. After that, she wants to do something exciting that involves fighting people. She came here because she heard that a Shang was staying here, (She can be gullible sometimes) but now that she is here, she can see that isn’t true. However, she has been very bored lately, so she decided to stay and try and have an adventure. She thinks that all the wealthier commoners are rather stuffy.
